I have a HP Envy that came with Windows 8. I have Beats audio that came with my PC. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Realtek driver at least 10 times with no improvement in my problem. There are no disabled or disconnected devices shown. Headphone jack works fine. How do I switch from the generic driver to my Realtek driver? Please any help would be much appreciated. I have completely removed the driver and all software and then let Windows reload it when starting up. Windows does reload the driver HP says it should but it does not change anything.
I have downloaded the driver myself direct from HP with the same result. I do not use the HDMI everyday but do use it 2 to 4 times a month or should say I was using until this problem started. Threats include any threat of suicide, violence, or harm to another.
